I consider my role as a yoga teacher a privilege and a joy. I approach my teaching with presence, commitment, steadiness and ease. By providing a relaxed and inviting environment in which to learn, my students feel both welcome and challenged in either group classes or one-on-one sessions. Over time, I have observed those students with a regular practice transform from tired and stressed to balanced and relaxed. I hope to inspire and help as many people as I can discover this profound shift through the practice of yoga.
As the path of learning never ends, I continue to cultivate a daily practice and study with my teacher Scott Anderson of Alignment Yoga. I also am a teacher assistant for the 200 Hour Alignment Yoga Teacher Training Program.
I am the Vice President of the board for YogAutism, a non-profit organization which offers therapeutic yoga for individuals on the autism spectrum. www.yogautism.org
In addition to teaching yoga, I offer cranialsacral and Indian head massage. A combination of bodywork and a regular yoga practice may create space for individuals to uncover a greater sense of profound ease that can lead to a balanced and healthy lifestyle. When I'm not meditating or practicing yoga, I enjoy cooking, traveling, walking in nature with my dog Barron, riding on the back of my husband John's Harley Davidson, and scuba diving.
